As a Packer, you ensure that our products are neatly and safely packaged, labeled, and ready for shipment. During the weekends, part of the machinery operates, which makes the weekend teams small and close-knit.
You start your day by changing into work clothing, grabbing your personal protective equipment, and checking with the Teamleader about which machines you will be monitoring today. You work in a clean production environment where quality, order, cleanliness, and safety are paramount.
You begin with the shift handover and hear from the other team about any special circumstances they have experienced. What should you pay attention to, and which products or machines may need your attention.
You make the necessary preparations for your workspace and ensure that all packaging materials are sufficiently stocked next to the machines. The machines are sometimes placed a bit further apart, which keeps you active. You are responsible for packaging the products, labeling boxes, trays, and pallets according to the packaging regulations. Once a pallet is full, you wrap it in foil and scan the products directly into our warehouse, keeping our inventory system always up-to-date. Meanwhile, you continuously check the quality: you compare the products with the reference sample and complete the yellow quality lists twice per shift. If you notice any deviations or disruptions, you report this immediately to the (Assistant) Teamleader.
You timely supply the machines with masterbatches (color) and note various details regarding the machine throughout the shift. In between, you maintain an organized and tidy work environment and perform the accompanying cleaning activities. At the end of the day, you clearly hand over your tasks to the next shift, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
