'You want to grow, sell more and get bigger?' Priscilla and Robin Koning from Teamplast are continually surprised by the initial reactions from people around them when they talk about the plans for 2023.

Priscilla: 'We don't feel that growth necessarily means producing more, selling more or earning more money. Obviously, we have growth ambitions at Teamplast. Sometimes we want to do too much all at once, and we need to make choices and determine our focus.

Duty of care for all employees

Most people would describe Teamplast as a social company. However, Priscilla mentions the duty of care for all employees as a focus for the organisation. 'We devote even more attention to the well-being of our colleagues and the rising cost of living. We are genuinely concerned about this. For that reason, at Teamplast we consciously don't choose extras based on salary percentages, but for a fixed payment based on the number of hours that a colleague works for us. We don't want to increase wage inequalities. Brother and sister love it when Teamplast is described as a good employer.

'Less virgin and more renewable raw materials, reducing product weights without compromising on quality and functionality'

There are many more plans and Robin enthusiastically talks about how Teamplast wants to start improving the packaging: 'We want to deliver more added value to our client's products. Less virgin and more renewable raw materials, reducing product weights without compromising on quality and functionality. We want to do better in these areas too!' A good example is Social Plastic by Plastic Bank that Teamplast is using for one of its clients.

Contributing to a liveable world

In a world which is increasingly about awareness, it is noticeable that Teamplast genuinely wants to contribute to a liveable world, in which everyone feels seen and heard.
'We are very capable of advising our clients and showing them all the possibilities!
There is definite movement in the plastic industry, and there are already so many choices you can make today to make your packaging more sustainable.' Robin also calls on new and existing clients
